What Is A Believer To Do? 2020 Election
2020 has been nothing but chaos, but some things remain true
Some are cheering right now, some are hurting.
Regardless, we all are feeling a weight bearing on us right now. The political climate is in a state we’ve never seen. For many, it feels like there is so much uncertainty in the unknown.
For others there is hope.
So many of us didn’t know what to say, how to vote, we simply just did what we felt was best. However we voted, whether we voted at all, we just wanted to do what we felt in our heart was best.
We’ve been pressured to say the right thing, vote for the “right” person, but how often have we been challenged to DO the right thing?
We are called to love God, we are called to love people.
We as the body of Christ have to do more, we have to set the example for our politicians and our communities, because we are different.
We must continue to do what do many rely on the government to do for us.
Be the reason why an ego is softened.
Be reason why the unloving sees love.
Be the reason why the unheard has a voice.
Be the reason why an immigrant feels at home.
Be the reason why an expecting mother feels strong enough and supported enough to keep her child.
Be the reason why the oppressed feels empowered.
No policy can replace the work that we as believers must do each day. No words will ever replace the action that is required to show Jesus’ love to a lost world.
This is not our home, we are just passing by. It is on us to prepare our communities for our home to come.
We have a huge burden on our shoulders right now. It’s important that we are ready.
Take this time to prepare, to pray, to refill.
If you need to delete social media, if you need to unfollow certain people, if you need to turn your phone off and unplug, do what is necessary to find your inner peace.
No election will change the fact that we still have a battle ahead of us. The Lord said the battle is won, but he never said our job was done.
Love everybody. Be a good vibe. Be an example.
Our presidents will come and go, but Jesus will always be King.
